The Wyoming Wilderness Association would like to welcome Ariel Kazunas to the team as our new Communication and Development Director!

From a high school stint on a trail crew in the Redwoods of California, to a biology-based college abroad program in Australia and the Great Barrier Reef, to a career as an active travel guide that took her everywhere from the Galapagos in Ecuador, to Patagonia’s Parque Nacional Los Glaciares, Ariel has seen firsthand the power of natural landscapes to spark joy and sustain an awe-inspiring myriad of life across the globe.

Ariel is excited to lend her varied skillset as author, copy editor, social media manager, event planner, and outdoor industry professional to the Wyoming Wilderness Association, working to champion and protect the wildlands of the region she has now called home for more than a decade.

Ariel is particularly hopeful that she can use her love of the written word to break down communication barriers - between lawmakers and communities, scientists and recreationalists, and, most importantly, planet and people.

Please join us in wishing a warm welcome to Ariel.
