Petition to Oppose the Wyoming Public Lands Initiative Act

Updated: Mar 11

SIGN THE PETITION - ASK LAWMAKERS TO PROTECT WYOMING'S WILDLANDS

Pictured above is the Honeycombs WSA. The WPLI bill would strip this area of current protections and open it to oil and gas development.

Conservation organizations across the state are collecting signatures to take to congressional lawmakers in DC to oppose Senator Barraso’s Wyoming Public Lands Initiative Act (or the WPLI Bill). This bill was introduced by Senator Barrasso in an effort to release some of our best BLM Wildlands - Wilderness Study Areas - from their current protections. The bill represents the culmination of a flawed county-led process that was exclusive, limited in scope, and actively excluded Tribal representation. This bill is headed to the Senate floor, and WWA is headed to DC to tell congressional lawmakers that Wyomingites and Tribal rights-holders want a say in the future of our BLM wildlands. Please add your signature to help us kill this bill!
