ACTION ALERT: Oppose Senator Lee's Amendment that Would Nullify the Roadless Rule

A starry night sky peaks through the forest canopy in a Wyoming Roadless Area.

The Utah Senator's amendment to S.140, "The Wildfire Prevention Act," would disregard the voice of the American people and cause irreparable harm to our public lands.

WWA has just learned that Senator Mike Lee has offered an amendment to S.140, "The Wildfire Prevention Act," that would nullify the 2001 Roadless Rule which safeguards our last best forests.

The Senate Energy Natural Resources Committee will be voting on this bill TOMORROW, Wednesday, June 10, 2026. We urgently need phone calls to ALL offices of committee members as well as social media tagging those members TODAY.

Call the U.S. Capitol Switchboard at (202) 224-3121 and ask to be transferred to each Senate office. For social media, use the tag #SaveRoadless. If your Senator is not on the committee, you can call them, too.

If you would rather write, use the contact form for committee members HERE with just a few clicks.
