About the event
Please join Caribou-Targhee National Forest staff, Great Old Broads for Wilderness, and WWA personnel for this solitude monitor hike and training. We will access the Jedediah Smith Wilderness from the Moose Creek Trailhead and journey along the creek. As we hike, CTNF staff will explain protocols that enable our National Forest partners to maintain opportunities for “solitude” and how the public can get involved through WWA’s citizen science stewardship initiative.
The hike will be roughly 6 miles round-trip and is rated as "moderate"
