NF: Grizzly Bear Ecology Tour—Hike
into
grizzly bear country with Chuck Neal, retired U.S. Dept. of the
Interior ecologist. Chuck calls himself “a student of grizzly bears and
their habitat for 30 years.” This annual popular adventure fills fast
and provides an amazing all-day expedition to a Shoshone NF roadless
area to learn about the ecology and biology of grizzlies.

Shoshone NF: DuNoir Hike—
Aaron
Bannon, WWA Governing Council Member. Impressive, rugged ridges and
valleys with flowing rivers are the highlight of this proposed
wilderness area. The DuNoir was recommended for Wilderness in the Draft
Forest Plan in 2007. Last year, this hike filled fast, so sign up
early. Spend a long day hiking a 14-mile loop, crossing the Continental
Divide to see panoramic views of the DuNoir and Ramshorn areas.
Co-sponsored by the Wyoming Outdoor Council.
