As Wyoming Wilderness Association’s founder in 2003 and having served as Executive Director of this homegrown, non-profit organization, I am forever inspired by the wild hearts of those who have worked and volunteered for wilderness. Although I was an artist and sculptor for about 25 years in Wyoming, I volunteered for various conservation organizations in the state and was trained to be an activist. Getting that Masters of Fine Arts degree gave me the creative belief that I could make a difference in our world, if not in a piece of steel. I have lived in Wyoming since the 60’s, horse-packed and hiked to every corner of the Cloud Peak Wilderness. Now I am in love with Wyoming's many desert badlands and wild places for their sculptural qualities and quiet loneliness. Art is my vice, and wilderness, my heart. I am the mother of a 21-year old wrangler and world traveler, and our home base is in Sheridan. I am tied to Wyoming since 1904 when my grandparents pioneered in Worland.
